LeanDESIGNER Platform configuration

This article provides an overview on license configuration and related installation scenarios.

There are two architecture configurations in LeanDESIGNER that determine its installation scenario: that’s why it’s important to define the configuration in advance.

Floating license (net)

Floating licenses are installed on a machine in the same net of client machines that use LeanDESIGNER . You should decide where to install LeanDESIGNER database, if on the same machine that hosts licenses or on a different one. Please note that database server needs to be in the same network of client machines.

Option A.1: database server and license server and on the same machine

Option A.2: database and license are on two different machines
